1982年生於台灣台北，畢業於大葉大學造形藝術系。
王鼎超的繪畫創作，是某種從表面到深層的途徑顯現。一種由「視點」締結成「視界」的路徑。他對人物的描畫不只是直白的揭露對象的形貌，還大量地透過肌肉、血液、軀幹及表皮的構造物，重新構造對象的內在。這種手法使得繪畫的主題呈現由淺薄的平面展延到結構的解剖與建造。如同他大多選用墨水、鉛筆、水性顏彩…等，較不具厚度與肌理的材料。卻搭配了結實難以滲入的實木木板為基材。這種對立的選材策略，揭露了創作者於當代社會之中，一種用薄切深，以輕承重的自我價值體現。也反映出王鼎超在繪畫表現中對於自我到他者、群體之於環境的體驗與試煉。過去作品曾獲得2011臺灣美術新貌展－平面創作系列 、100年新北市做新人奬、2011高雄獎 入選獎，2009 台北縣美術創作新人獎 佳作獎，2004 磺溪美展油畫類 優選獎，2001北縣美展油畫類 首獎。自2007起陸續發表個人創作，現居住創作於台灣台北。
